Few gave kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa a chance in his exhibition bout against Floyd Mayweather, and as it turned out, they were right. The 20-year-old Japanese fighter, an undefeated mixed martial arts and kickboxing pro, was knocked down three times in the first round of the three-round match. Nasukawa’s corner threw in the towel, and the young athlete ended up in tears when the fight was called for Mayweather just 139 seconds in.

3-Minute ‘Walk Thru’

Hours before the fight, which was held just outside of Tokyo, Mayweather, who’s also known as “Money,” posted on Instagram saying he’d make $9 million for the match with Nasukawa.

“What if I told you I was making $9,000,000 for 9 minutes of sparring in Tokyo Japan would you do the same if you were me?” Mayweather wrote in the post. “I like to call it a 9-minute walk thru.”

If Mayweather is telling the truth, he’ll get all that cash for less than 3 minutes of work.

“Money’s” big payday was all anyone could talk about on Twitter.

Still Retired

Since the fight with Nasukawa was an exhibition, it won’t have an impact on Mayweather’s 50-0 record, which he retired with after defeating Andre Berto in 2015.

Following the New Year’s Eve match, Mayweather reaffirmed he’s still very much finished, despite having fought UFC fighter Conor McGregor since his official retirement.

“It was all about entertainment. We had fun,” Mayweather said, according to ESPN. “I’m still retired. I don’t look forward to coming back to boxing. I did it just to entertain fans in Japan. I’m still retired, I’m still 50-0, and Nasukawa is still undefeated and a hell of a fighter.”

More ‘Money’ Coming Soon?

Despite being officially retired, rumors have swirled that UFC fighter Conor McGregor could get his wish for a rematch with Mayweather. Meanwhile, Mayweather has promised to fight both Manny Pacquiao and undefeated MMA fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov, who beat McGregor at UFC 229.
